Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of LitPads, a custom soundboard application for Mac, iPad, and iPhone, and this website. By downloading, installing, or using LitPads, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use LitPads.

Operator

LitPads is developed and operated by Marcel Iseli, an independent software developer based in Switzerland.

License Grant

LitPads Free: You are granted a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the free features of LitPads on any Apple device you own. The free tier includes 3 boards with 16 pads each, all 4 play modes, retrigger modes, file import, audio recording, and background playback. No time limit, no ads, no account required.

LitPads Pro: The Pro in-app purchase grants a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use all Pro features. The purchase is one-time with no recurring subscription. Pro features include unlimited boards and pads, per-pad parametric EQ, pitch shifting, MIDI controller support, global hotkeys, setlist mode, audio ducking, and all future updates within the same major version.

Apple App Store Terms

LitPads is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of LitPadsis also subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA takes precedence for matters within Apple's scope.

User Content

You are solely responsible for all audio content you import, record, or use within LitPads. You represent that you have the right to use any audio files you load into LitPads and that your use does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights. LitPads does not host, distribute, or provide audio content.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use LitPads for any unlawful purpose or to distribute copyrighted material without proper authorization. You may use LitPads for both personal and commercial purposes, including live performance, streaming, content creation, and professional audio production.

Intellectual Property

LitPads, including its design, code, interface, and branding, is the intellectual property of Marcel Iseli. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute LitPads or any part of it. The audio content you create or import remains your property.

Disclaimer of Warranties

LitPads is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that LitPads will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all hardware or software configurations. Audio latency, quality, and performance may vary depending on your device and system configuration.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Marcel Iseli shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of LitPads. This includes but is not limited to data loss, audio quality issues, missed cues during live performance, or third-party service compatibility. In no event shall the total liability exceed the amount you paid for LitPads Pro.

Refund Policy

Refunds for the LitPads Pro in-app purchase are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store refund policy. We do not process refunds directly. If you experience a technical issue, contact us and we will do our best to resolve it.

Termination

You may stop using LitPads at any time by deleting the app from your device. We reserve the right to discontinue LitPads at any time, though any purchased Pro licenses remain valid for already-installed versions.

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle information.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of LitPads after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Switzerland.
