How do I route LitPads audio to Discord, OBS, or Zoom?

LitPads does not include built-in virtual audio routing. On Mac, install the free BlackHole virtual audio driver, then create a multi-output device in Audio MIDI Setup that combines your speakers and BlackHole. Set this as your system output, and select BlackHole as the microphone input in Discord, OBS, or Zoom.

My sounds are not playing. What should I check?

Verify that the correct audio output device is selected in your system settings. Check that per-pad volume and master volume are above zero. Ensure the audio file format is supported (MP3, WAV, AIFF, M4A, FLAC, AAC, CAF). Try reimporting the file if the issue persists.

How do I connect a MIDI controller?

Connect your USB or Bluetooth MIDI controller to your device. LitPads auto-detects any CoreMIDI-compatible controller. Open a pad’s settings and tap MIDI Learn, then press any note on your controller to map it. Velocity sensitivity is enabled by default.

Global hotkeys are not working on Mac. What should I do?

Global hotkeys require Input Monitoring permission. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Input Monitoring and enable LitPads. If you recently updated macOS, you may need to re-grant this permission. Hotkeys are automatically disabled when you type in text fields.

How do I restore my Pro purchase on a new device?

Open LitPads on your new device and go to the Pro upgrade screen. Tap Restore Purchases. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device signed into the same account at no additional cost.

What is the difference between Free and Pro?

Free includes 3 boards with 16 pads each, all 4 play modes, retrigger modes, file import, recording, and background playback. Pro unlocks unlimited boards and pads, per-pad parametric EQ, pitch shifting, MIDI support, global hotkeys, setlist mode, audio ducking, custom pad images, and board export.
